Are PGL activities safe?
We’re always safety-focused at PGL – as a founder member of BAPA (British Activity Providers Association) and a licence holder for activities in scope of AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority) regulations. All of our canoeing activities at our centres are Paddle UK approved, and all of our sailing centres are recognised RYA (Royal Yachting Association) teaching establishments.
You’ll also have your very own PGL instructor supporting your group in every activity they do, making sure safety rules are followed and that everything runs smoothly! Each PGL centre has a dedicated SENCO team, Safeguarding Leads & Welfare Officers with all staff members undertaking enhanced DBS checks & safeguarding training, all overseen by our Head of Safeguarding, working across all PGL centres.
