The transition from education into full-time employment is a challenge that many young people aren’t ready for. Our brand-new programme, Skills4Life, prepares them for the future by providing a powerful foundation for confidence, resilience and growth.
This transformative programme uses the Level 3 accredited Skills Builder framework to blend outdoor adventure with research-backed learning. Each residential is adaptable, impactful and designed to support young people to grow and succeed.
What is it the Skills4Life programme?
- Five-day residential programmes for schools and youth groups – A structured residential experience, giving young people time to fully engage, reflect and build skills progressively. Suitable for both school groups and youth organisations, with a balance of learning, activity and downtime.
- Designed for 14-18 year olds – Tailored to secondary-aged students, with age-appropriate activities and lessons that support personal development, confidence and readiness for life beyond the classroom.
- Focus on life skills, nutrition and employability – Develops essential transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, resilience and self-management. Also covers nutrition and wellbeing, and understanding how healthy choices can support energy levels, focus and long-term confidence.
- Available at selected UK centres from Spring 2026

Each core learning module is designed to target specific skill sets for measurable growth and lasting impact.
Adventure with purpose
From Raft Building and Giant SUP to Jacob’s Ladder; each adventure activity is adapted to support specific skill development and complement the core modules.
Reflect, Record & Recharge
Reflection campfires are a chance to share stories, insights and breakthroughs. Personal journals will track progress, set goals and evidence the impact.

Skills4Life FAQs
Who can take part in a Skills4Life programme?
Skills4Life is for secondary school-aged young people, roughly 11–18. It works well for school groups, youth clubs, or any youth organisation looking to give kids a confidence boost.
How long is the residential?
Each programme lasts five days, giving plenty of time for fun activities, learning, and reflection without feeling rushed.
Where does it take place?
We run Skills4Life at selected UK centres that are safe, supportive, and packed with outdoor adventure opportunities. Dates are available from Spring 2026.
What will young people learn?

Is it suitable for kids with extra support needs?
Yes! We aim to make every activity inclusive and accessible, including those with SEND. We work with teachers and group leaders to make sure everyone can take part and get the most out of the experience.
What do participants need to bring?
We’ll send a packing list before the trip – usually outdoor clothing, comfy shoes, personal essentials, and any medication.
What does a typical day look like?
Days mix adventure-based activities, workshops, and reflection time. Everything is guided by the Skills Builder framework, so it’s fun, practical, and focused on real outcomes.
